Trouble with vegetables

Anonymous
I had the same issue with my son. He's 26 months and has refused all veggies and most fruits unless it's blended in a smoothie or a soup or a dhal. Everyday for the past 1.5 years I have given him a fruit or a veggie at almost every meal. He rarely even touched it. Last week we finally saw my parents because they are vaccinated and suddenly with my mom he started eating everything. Broccoli, carrots, oranges, berries, etc. We're back home and he's continuing to eat all sorts of fruits and vegetables. My husband and I were shocked when he stuffed 3 pieces of broccoli in his mouth. I don't know why he suddenly gave up on the power struggle but he did. It was a similar situation with my daughter (except she did eat fruit) and she changed overnight around the age of two as well. Don't give up!

My now 2 year old ate everything at 1 year but has gotten increasingly picky. I am hoping a return to daycare and peer pressure will help.
