An outdoor game/toy.

| Eggs with IOUs: one day with no chores, an extra 30 mins of TV, double allowance, et. |
I always do a few useful things, some fun gag stuff, and some seasonal stuff. For new stuff I usually include swim shorts or a few new warm weather shirts. If you lookup old school gag stuff you can find funny stuff like the hand shaker buzzer thing and whoopie cushions. I will throw in sunglasses, a fun koozie/water bottle and a couple pieces of candy. |
|
I have a 10 year old boy and have done some variation of the following the past couple years:
Beach towel Swim trunks Goggles (he's always losing these, so I usually get a 2 pack) Sunglasses A baseball hat Pool toys Water gun Books (usually dogman tbh lol) Sidewalk chalk Chocolates I'm sure theres a few things I'm forgetting - but that essentially sums it up. Things I would have bought him for the summer anyways!
|
| ^I'm PP - also, I'm getting him a new water bottle this year (gatorade brand)! |
| Books and candy. |
| We give some candy, edible grass, a few small toys and then there's 1 "gift" ($25ish). The gift is under the basket. |
|
Something for them to shot with their nerf guns. Like hanging plastic bunnies, or hanging eggs.
And for every egg you shot, you get 1 minute of video gaming time. |
I tend to focus on summer things as well as both of mine have winter birthdays. I do some of the above plus water balloons, balls, frisbees, flip flops. |
| Easter baskets are about candy. I might add a pair of swim goggles or a package of Nerf darts, but it's mainly candy. |
|
Candy and surprise them with big bags of something salty. Takis are always a favorite in my house.
It’s a good time to stop with the gifts. They are approaching the teen and tween years and you can turn this into tiny expensive tiny gifts like air pods or VISA gift cards or stick with food. Kids love food. |
I'd agree with you, but half the candy I got as a kid went uneaten. Like PPs, my kids generally get things like swimsuits and goggles that I'd end up buying anyway, but it fills the basket. |
| Why is Easter a gifting occasion? Do adults get baskets too? |
Because the bunny drops baskets of gifts. Adults get baskets in our house if Mom does them, but no one does them for Mom. |
| Tshirts and sunglasses since warm weather is around the corner |
