Why are schools serving meat?

Are figs vegan?

Because most people eat meat and it is an excellent source of protein.

There are a lot of things to object to in regards to American school lunches, so your focus on just the meat is laughable and suspect if you truly are concerned about bad eating habits.

Who care about the economy. It’s not the font of morality. The economy likes plenty of bad things like landlords.

Renting is bad?

I have been to a feed lot and it is NOT SANITARY. I can’t eat beef after that. Chicken is fine though.

No, but I only rarely eat animal products from the farmer’s market when I know where they came from.

Then, you cannot speak if you eat animal products. If you are eating meat, then why is this even an issue.

So, none of your shoes, including sneakers are leather? Are your kids leather?

(I am a vegetarian/no leather and don't take people like you seriously as you are fake in your concern).

I don’t eat meat. Sometimes I eat milk or eggs or honey.

Okay I’m vegan and not vegetarian but she has a point. We know a meat free or less meat diet is healthier. We can change this numbers so more kids will grow up vegetarian. We need to model healthy behavior.

That is a lie. A meat free diet is not a healthier diet

Meat free is not inherently more healthy. I agree that we should be more responsible in how we eat meat but including meat in a balanced diet is not unhealthy.

Now, I do agree that none of the meat served in cafeterias is responsibly produced, so there we could agree change would be great. But it's also too big a change too fast. I mean, FCPS just added a lame salad bar and acts like its the greatest thing ever. And their "vegetarian" day is cheesy breadsticks. Super healthy.
