If your child/children had Covid...

Scary.

I really wonder if my family has already all had COVID and we didn't realize it. Between working at a hospital, the kids going to different daycares, and one going to multiple therapy sessions a week sans mask, it seems like we've been pretty exposed.

5 and 7 yr old asymptomatic. 10 yr old headache and sore throat.

Daughter in late teens had it - headache one day - nothing else. Not even the fever!

You could spring for one of you to get the antibody test and guess on the others from that, if you care enough to know.

We had two exposures at daycare. One was the teacher and one was a student. Zero other cases either time.

My friend, her DH (both in 30s) and newborn all caught it in the hospital while giving birth. Newborn no symptoms, mom mildly ill, dad had to be hospitalized for a few days.

Are the kids over 2 required to wear masks?

3 kids, we had it early in the pandemic.

8 year old had flu-like symptoms. Fever, headache, tons of fatigue. But it only lasted 2-3 days then he was totally fine.

16 year old had a headache and diarrhea that he said did not feel like a stomach bug - he couldn't really define why it was different. Lasted about 24 hours.

11 year old was a bit of a mystery. 3 days after I was sick and the day before the 8 year old was sick, he had fever, headache, etc - but tested positive for strep (this was so early we could not get actual covid tests, but we confirmed a month or two later with antibody tests). He went on antibiotics and recovered. But then 9 days after the positive strep test, he also had a mild headache and diarrhea like the older one. So I'm not sure if the fever was covid and the strep test was bad, if he had both, or if he had strep and then covid later.

In any case, they all recovered quickly and completely. I know a few other kids who had it and same story.
