looking for a mommy's helper- where to start?

I guess the rules for babysitters are different but since I am familiar with other hourly jobs, three hours is the minimum for pay. Three consecutive hours whether you work the full three or not. Normally you work three +. That's what I've paid any babysitter that I've had. 3 hour min although some want 4 and that's ok too.
Two hours split up seems very inconvenient unless there is a very local person who has a lot of free time and needs the money if you paid $60 a day in cash. Maybe a youthful retiree could do this but expand it to at least 1.5 and 1.5 hours.
I will give you credit though since you are actually trying to outsource what my fantasy times for not having to deal with my children are.

+1.

You were looking for a morning babysitter an afternoon babysitter likely will be two different people since those hours are odd hours. Be ready to fork out $$$.
