Right. Who comes up with this? Get back to the office or something

Why are you so angry? It doesn't affect you. I didn't come up with it. I saw it on my fitbit data and thought I should see if it was something anyone else is experiencing. Sounds like it is common enough.

Because this is beyond stupid. Don’t you have anything better to ruminate about than your heart rate after a shot?

Within a day of the vaccination, particularly the 2nd shot, you will find that your blood pressure might decrease and your heart rate increasing. Make sure you drink lots of water to stay hydrated. it should normalize within 3 days.

NP. You sound a bit unhinged. It seems fair game to question if one notices a shift in heart rate or blood pressure.

To clarify, the change in blood pressure and heart rate, are what could happen from any type of inflammation. When you get vaccinations, your body is reacting and building immunity. It's not a bad thing to have such reactions.

Because it's been 3 weeks like this, duh. And I have underlying conditions so yeah, I do worry about my heart. My dad died of a heart attack so some of do need to monitor our health. Just ignore the post if you can't contribute something positive.

Did you guys miss that this was 3 WEEKS after the shot? Like that’s a little crazy. She’s getting her second shot either today or in another week...

You realize it fluctuates throughout the day depending on your activity. So no, it makes absolutely to sense to be wondering about this unless it went from 70 to 140 while sitting there in the 15 min observation room

Is this OP? Has your heart rate been elevated for three weeks straight since the shot? Or did it just start today? If it’s the first scenario, obviously you should be talking to a doctor, not DCUM.

You know what else raises heart rate, anxiety- which is obviously a big factor around here
Anonymous
No, it increased after the first shot and has stayed elevated since then and now with my second shot. Thank you to the PP for the helpful explanation.

I am talking about resting heart rate only.

Why the he** does it upset you that someone would be inquiring about a potential side effect of a shot? Raw jealousy that you haven’t procured one yet? Fear that people will hesitate to get the vaccine and you will be stuck in your basement forever? I don’t understand the absolute knee-jerk hostility - look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are so angry.

I’ve already had both- not angry at all, just find the anxiety level around here over nothing beyond bizarre
