OP- I got my period 4 days late. What a horrible tease.

16:31 here. After a few light + home tests and a low + blood test result a few days ago, my period came today, 9 days after it was due. Seems like a m/c.

Very disappointing, but here's to next month for us all!

Just wanted to say sorry to both testers with the negative results. I had two chemical pregnancies recently and it was really disappointing when I got my period. The first time I ran out and purchased a card for my husband to surprise him with the news and a week later I got my period and cried my eyes out. When I had another chemical three months later I let my myself get excited again. Now, it's really hard to feel optimistic. However, I've heard that early miscarriage is a good sign that you will eventually get pregnant and carry to term. Good luck to you both.

Thanks everyone! It's definitely disappointing, but I am choosing to take it as a good sign that the plumbing works. Hopefully it won't take long to get the cycle back on track.

I think with a good quality early result test, like First Response, you should be getting accurate results by 14 days past ovulation (assuming you know when you ovulated). FRER can detect a very low level of HCG (says 25 in the package insert but test show it picks up as low as 6).

Just have to weigh in here - I am currently 14 weeks pregnant and had nothing but negative tests with First Response Early Result tests, including 14 days past ovulation. Turns out I don't crank out the HCG in large quantities. I did know when I ovulated with a pretty high degree of certainty, and nothing turned positive until AFTER the dates that the box said "99% accurate" - so I guess I'm that 1%.

And re the miscarriage, I m/c at 5 weeks (After telling everyone) and with the next pregnancy had a beautiful DD who is 2 now. Keep the hope alive!

OP here

I am freaking out. Had an ultrasound today for an issue unrelated to pg and tech said she saw a sac, and that i could be 4.5 weeks pregnant.

HPT was negative again. Waiting for OB to call back with blood work i had done as soon as I left ultrasound office.

I dont understand what's going on, could i be pg or is this a blighted ovum??? Or what/??

Totally crazy.

I have to wait till tomorrow morning for bloodwork results. I am scared and hopeful and afraid smthg is wrong..... will post tomorrow when b/w is in.

They were negative. And ob says it was probably a mistake or that tech said probably a sac....
