What? You act like contracting Covid is just out of anyone’s control, maybe the gods decide to strike you with it or not. No. Proper air ventilation is like the main thing to make schools safe. Quit acting like there’s no point in asking about it. I want the kids IN school which means school has to be safe so it can stay open. That’s why I care about making sure there’s decent ventilation. |
Ok crazy ventilation lady. |
Is that the “science” and “data” behind OpenSchoolsNow? ![]() What a bunch of low-information losers. |
Don’t worry about the air??!
Let me guess. You ate inside at a restaurant last night. |
oh so my kids don't get to go to school because I care about them not getting covid? but yours do because you don't care. great equity there. so much for caring about the low income, vulnerable. which the open uppers pretended to do. |
The truth is closer to something like they literally don’t understand why ventilation matters so much because they’re incurious and don’t really read so they think everyone who actually knows something is just dramatic. That’s how ignorance functions. |
Here is why it’s safe. Thank you smart restart and APE. Can we move on?

Life’s not always fair. You make the choice to keep them home that’s on you. |
from the group that claimed they were doing this for the less fortunate, now they're moved on to life's not always fair. Nice. |
Yup. True colors. |
I'm not even sure what group you're talking about. I cam ertainly an not in it. I don't give a s$#$ about equity at this point. Never been a high consideration on my list in good times. Kids have not been learning for close to a year. If SOME can get back to school and learn, great. Boo hoo it's not equal for all? Tough. We've gone over the edge with equity in this area. |
At least this person is honest and admits she doesn’t GAF about anyone else. It’s not pleasant but it’s better than the people who claim to care when they don’t. |
We walked around our kid's south Arlington school this weekend and peered in the windows -- air purifiers in every room we saw as well as plastic dividers on the desk. I was pleasantly surprised with how it all looked from the outside. Remember early in the year when people said there would be no art on the walls; no decorations; just a barebones room with kids miles apart? yeah, it didn't look like that. It looked totally fine, very welcoming, and made me excited for my Kindergartener to get to learn in person for a few months this year. |
I’ve seen my 5th grader’s classroom virtually- it looks like an old school classroom, with separated desks all facing the front. Walls covered with interesting things, clear plastic dividers on the desks (probably a waste of $), air purifier in the center of the room. Teacher has told kids to dress warmly because the windows will stay open. DD and her friends are excited to go back, even knowing that it will be different. We actually shopped for school clothes online this weekend since dd has been living in shorts and t shirts for a year. |
Nobody ever said there’d be no art on the walls. You are all so dramatic. |
