How are you picking daycares and preschools if we can’t tour in person?

Talking to families currently there, especially ones there long enough to have seen the classes in action, helped. But it is even more of a leap of faith now.


I’m in the same boat and have also found it incredibly difficult. DCUM has been quite helpful, but some posts are from 10 years ago.

The preschool we picked, Christ Episcopal School, was doing tours after-hours so that, coupled with really detailed discussions with the Admissions Directors and other currently enrolled parents made it easy to make our decision.

We are not allowed to enter the school since our kids resumed preschool in September!

For Op, I would suggest asking the director to set up Zoom meeting with the teachers. You can get a sense of who your kid‘s teachers are. You could ask for references?
