This doesn’t exactly answer your question, but it’s related so I’ll throw it out there.
I have a hard time sticking with a specific exercise plan all on my own for more than 6 weeks or so. It’s all very mental for me, and my motivation to continue doing the same thing lags once it becomes routine and boring. We bought a treadmill that pairs with iFit early in the pandemic. There are thousands of workouts to choose from at every intensity level, including non running workouts, challenges, etc. I find it easier to stay motivated to do cardio when a trainer that I like is talking to me and explaining the reasoning behind specific things we’re doing, distracting me by talking about the landscape and history of the area that we are (virtually) running through, etc. Bonus is that the videos are set in beautiful landscapes all over the world, so I’m not just staring at a wall or numbers on a screen.
I still run outside, especially when the weather is nice, but I find myself looking forward to doing the next iFit session in a series or trying a new series when I finish with one, and that for me has been good motivation to stick with it. I’ve never used a Peloton Tread (or bike), but I assume it’s generally the same kind of motivation system.
