VAVA (K12) - How is it for a homeschooling option

Anonymous
As a learning coach you are required to supervise and log hours every day. How much supervision that is required for a middle schooler varies by the child - but I would say 30-60 minutes a day.

What are you actually doing? Watching your kid take the distance learning class? Watching the kid do homework and answering any questions they have? Checking their classwork?

Is VAVA k-12 synchronous learning with a teacher? How much interaction is there with the teacher and classes?

We're only a few weeks into it, but so far each day has one or two hours of synchronous learning and the rest is offline (reading and doing homework). This is in middle school, could be different for K-6 and 9-12.

Is it interactive? How are the instructors? What grades?

Virtual VA K12 also has advanced program, similar to AAP in FCPS but much better.
