This is hilarious: The Nap Dress Must Be Stopped https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.elle.com/life-love/amp35395573/nap-dresses-must-be-stopped/

“I might have the same energy as the type of gaunt, melancholy-stricken Victorian wife who’s hidden from guests and floats around the manor grounds wearing what I imagine is the Nap Dress, but I lack her ample free time.”

😂 Perhaps this is a fashion trend for women who are convalescing from covid or surgery?

I just snorted coffee all over my Coffee Romper!

Is it just me, or does the Nap Dress not really look that comfy for napping? I wouldn't like the tight smocked bodice.

But for Victorian heroine cosplay, it's perfect

To me, this looks like one of those things made up on social media that no one actually does/buys/uses.

Set pieces from Pride and Prejudice, the 1996 version.

Omg, did you see the thing about tying it in front? It has really improved my pandemic. Instead of putting the sash around the back, you go in the front twice (idk if this is making sense) and it holds much much better.

I like the way they look, but can't imagine them being practical for any aspect of my life-can't wear for meetings, can't step outside my door, wouldn't want to do messy chores, and NO ONE wants to see me in that thing. Definitely would have worn one (at all times in all places) when I was in my twenties and rocked the 60s vintage version of this and got in trouble while working at starbucks for showing up in a black slip and arguing that it was dress code.

My MIL bought me something like this at my bridal shower from a Madison Ave boutique. She said that the salesperson called it sexy and innocent. This was 2006. Returned it for a $200 credit!

Ha! Those look cold to me. I'm sticking with my turtleneck on top, sweatpants and Uggs on the bottom.

Where can you find a nightgown like this one? I have been looking.

Ew to sexy and innocent. As though you want your husband to bed a 15 year old virgin. Hard pass on nap dresses.

I'm 37 and have one. Used last summer as a swim cover-up and around the house. Not for sleeping.
