Diamond studs women over 40

I think I can guess what generation you belong to.

There's a difference between wearing diamonds (a 1-carat engagement ring and a pair of 2ctw diamond stud earrings) and ***WEARING DIAMONDS*** like Harry Winston gave you a loaner necklace for the Oscars.

Come. On.

The 2 ctw cubic zirconia I bought at Target. I'm really tall and need bigger studs that I don't care about losing and don't care about getting stolen.

^ I like you.

I've certainly heard this too, but it never made sense to me. Even the Queen of England wears a diamond engagement ring.

Right? Only a DCUM striver would think Queen Elizabeth is tacky.

I have 1 1/2 carat total weight. I wear them every single day in COVID land.

I have a pair of flawless 2 ct TW that suit me well.

I'm only 37 though, so I don't know if you want to hear from me

I would never buy real diamond earrings that large. I lost one side a few years ago, which was painful. I've been thinking about turning the other side into a pendant, but never got around to it.
Honestly, no one can tell the difference unless they're so close to your ear they can see any real imperfections. My BFF's father is a jeweler, and he scoffs when people claim they can tell the difference between a real and fake diamond by sight (without a loupe).

Eh, they are insured. I'm not going to live my life worried about losing jewelry (which I never have) when it's insured if the worst happens.

Both CZ and Moissanite have a different sparkle, so yes, I can tell without a loupe. Obviously not true for lab diamonds.

Eh, most of us don't care and don't look close enough.

I feel similarly. Never felt inclined to spend a ton on something so boring and so easily lost. I'd rather just spend 100 dollars at Nordstrom and get a few sizes and cuts.
