My first pregnancy I wanted anything with blueberries in it. Watermelon was really appealing too but not in the same “oh my gosh I want it!” sense of blueberries. I also had about a week where I craved fried chicken but didn’t give into it because I thought “I don’t want to eat fried chicken all pregnancy.” If I’d known it would last a week I would have gone for it! I didn’t have any cravings with my second (both girls).
These chicken cravings are funny to me. I had strong aversions to chicken with all of my pregnancies, including the ones that didn’t go to term.
For me, nothing! No aversions and no cravings, just normal. I'm a little disappointed tbh - I wanted to see what weird cravings my body might come up with!
They might come later, in the second or third trimester. With DD, I didn't have any strong cravings until ca. 30 weeks, when suddenly I couldn't get enough cereal and carby things. I would munch on Cheerios 24/7 and have a ready supply of French baguettes. |
Trader Joe's frozen mangoes were all I wanted for both of my pregnancies. Like we stocked up on 3 bags a week.
