Np here. I tried one today and didn’t like it. My son also had one and he did like it.

Starfux could make a cow shit flavored drink with lots of foam on top.

All the upper income middle aged peeps (you like that better than yuppies?) would be like “OMG the best drink ever. Gots to get another.”

The same drink at one of my favorite spots would easily cost twice as much, and so would a pastry. Granted, the quality would also easily be twice as good, so I don't think those places are overpriced either. But Starbucks prices seem about right for mediocre product and decent service.

And it's hard to beat the ability to order on the app and pick up or get curbside. The other day I ordered on the app from directly outside the store just so I didn't have to stand around inside with the people in line. It was great. And yes, the customer service is usually pretty good. I think that as mega corps go, they tend to treat their employees ok (it's still a minimum wage job with no growth potential, but otherwise).

You pay $10 for a coffee drink and $6 for a pastry at your local shop? What country do you live in?

Yeah, this is confusing. I live in NYC and Starbucks is about the same (maybe even a smidge more expensive) price as the two nice, independent shops near me.

No, you’re still off.

Disgusting coffee. I’ve had much better from Wawa.

And yet, no Wawa’s in Montgomery County so I will have to take your word for it.
