Possibly, but she gave her sister my contact info for the signup genius.

She sounds like a taker.

This is what I would do.

How about a couple of prepared meals from the grocery store? I don’t know where you shop, but both Safeway and Whole Foods have good soups in the refrigerator section of the deli. WF has some good pre-packed meat + three entrees, and I think Safeway does something similar. Or you could even get a frozen tray of lasagna. I suspect most of us wouldn’t want to receive these things from a meal train—like, I can order my own groceries just fine, thank you—but it would strike the nice middle ground of showing you care while still following the rules.

Don’t participate but also LET IT GO. What do you mean that she didn’t even go to the doctor? No one goes to the doctor for food poisoning unless they are so sick they need to be rehydrated. You are grasping for straws. You are clearly still angry. Just don’t participate. But don’t send a bag of groceries. That’s petty.

No. I’m not sure where that idea came from.

A couple years ago, she attended a dinner party in my home and claimed a seafood-based appetizer spread made her ill, but she got sick days later. That timeline is off for bad shellfish. Another guest who is a ER nurse told her that and thought it was odd that she claimed to be ill for a week but didn’t see a doctor.

I’ve never been in a meal train for her before.

I don’t want to put her business out there like that. I think the need is legitimate.

Thank you. I will go this route I think.

She said it was bad shrimp and she was throwing up for a week. She claimed she lost 7 lbs and is already underweight. But she was the only person who got sick although the shrimp were all food processed together so there’s no way that just one person would have gotten sick. Also, she got sick on the morning of the third day.

You are still harboring a grudge from a couple of years ago? And about shellfish? Some people have bad reactions to shellfish. Sounds like she did.

It sounds like you don’t like her much so you really need to just move on. Don't participate and definitely don’t do the passive aggressive grocery route (assuming she has the resources to buy her own groceries snd it’s more the meal prep that is the purpose of the meal train).

People do not an allergic reaction 2-3 days after consuming shellfish. One of my kids has a shellfish allergy.
