What do you do for fun?

--spend an afternoon with husband in a cafe, leisurely drinking a hot beverage and reading a good book
--try more off the beaten path restaurants
--spend a day exploring a new neighborhood in the area (up to an hour or so away), there are so many different options. We were thinking of doing Leesburg in the next couple of weeks and maybe Annapolis
--attend more live music performances
--see a new exhibit at a museum
--host a get together with friends at our house
--try to start a Dinner Club hosted at a different member's house each month

Basically, one of my New Year's Resolutions is to really take advantage of all this area has to offer and spend more time cultivating my friendships instead of just vegging out in front of the television.

How old are your kids? I'm trying to imagine doing some of these with my child and having a tough time picturing it being as fun and relaxing as I'd like.

Great ideas for couple activities though!

OK, yeah

But how do you even remember if you HAD any fun?

I guess you have never smoked pot before. If the poster had said drinking, I would have asked this question. You don't black out when smoking...you just laugh and eat a lot!

How OLD are you? 20? Pot is so college.

Pot is so not just for college students. Very popular with the older Boomers too. Sometimes I wonder if this is part of the reason it is gaining acceptance for medical purposes.

My DD is only 16 months and you are absolutely right that I couldn't do most of these activities with her! These suggestions were more for date night activities b/c my husband I are trying to be more creative and do something other than the typical movie date.

FUN!!! PPl please! I am a voracious reader---but for 'fun'??? I do it for relaxation, enjoyment, to learn, to help fall asleep, etc....

FUN----tie one and get wild!! FUN- --skinny dipping. FUN---full speed down a steep hill on a sled!! FUN---partying with good friends!!!

Exercise to me is great enjoyment---I'm a runner---so relaxing, it's like therapy--but it doesn't go in my "FUN" category unless I'm drinking too....yes I know there's a club where I can do just that--now that sounds like fun

NP yeah like my dad. There's still a fake certificate to grow pot with fake Nixon and Spiro Agnew signatures on it in his old room at my gramma's house. He'll be 60 soon and I just know he's still sneaking down into the basement and toking up. This from a man who's about as far from seeming like a stoner or burnt out hippy as you can get without having an NRA member card.

"So college"? So after college the enjoyment of it diminishes? You don't have a hangover with pot. Plus (at least for me) it makes good sex better.

Apparently the same for Ecstasy--intensifies all feelings and contact.
