| I thought it was "ok" for linen to be wrinkled. am i wrong? |
I think it is OK if it is wrinkled slightly, and evenly throughout the garment. However, I am talking about a huge mess of wrinkles in the crotch area only when I sit down. So you see a big mess of wrinkles from mid-thigh up, but no wrinkles below. So it just doesn't look right! |
| In Europe, people accept that linen is going to wrinkle and I think it is a nice summer fabric, but not for everyday wear with small or school aged (elem.) children. It is hard to clean and doesn't wear that well. Great for a night out (casual) or brunch. Or an evening dinner (linen dress/skirt) in the summer. Otherwise, not so much. |
| I love dresses. They are my go to spring/summer look. Casual with casual shoes for bumming with the kids. Tons of places to get. One piece of clothing (obviously) so easy and looks nice. I pair with cardigans in the early spring. Trench coat too. |
Actually, in America we also we accept that it is going to wrinkle. I agree that its not a good fabric for everyday wear with children. |

I wear: dark jeans (or white pants if I want to be dressier), a short-sleeved shirt (I like striped or patterned tissue t's, Target has been carrying some cute ones lately), ballet flats (I usually wear black or red), some kind of statement jewelry -- big necklace or bracelet or earrings.
Or, a dress. |
We are far more uptight about it. Linen is not as popular a fabric as it is in much of Europe. |

I like a lot of the previous suggestions but I do wear shorts with heels or wedges in the summer too. I don't like the shorts with sneakers/athletic shoes look. Think something more like some of the looks shown on this page.
