6 month old refuses to sleep laying flat on back-at a total loss about what to do...

My 2 reflux children both slept on their stomachs with the blessing of the pediatrician. Pediatrician said that stomach sleeping is ok for reflux babies. Again, ask your own doctor, but at 6 mos. risk is vrey tiny.

I'd try putting him on his stomach first. If that doesn't work, then consider sleep training. Sleep training is a greater commitment and may not be necessary...try the simpler approach first.

The baby's been sleeping on a chair! Anything that involves him sleeping in his crib, on his stomach or not, is going to require a little training. You make sleep training sound like baby violent bootcamp.

To whom are you replying, you nut-case? How did you gleen "violent bootcamp" from "greater commitment?" Mellow out. Sleep training IS a greater commitment, taking several days or weeks and likely, some even more sleepness nights. All I'm suggesting is to attempt something that may resolve the issue in 5 minutes.

Best of luck, OP. I've been there. DC#1 would only sleep on his stomach. I wish we would have figured out the solution earlier. Instead, we unsuccessfully tried sleep positioners, swaddling, etc. for two months. It was exhausting to say the least. DC#2 would sleep on his back but required sleep training around 7 months.
