LH surge - How many days to DTD after?

Anonymous
I took an ovulation test Sunday morning around 930a and it was positive and had sex about 15 hours later. So is it possible that I ovulated and the sperm can still get to the egg. Any input would be great. Thanks

Okay, you are all clearly the experts, so maybe you can help me!

On Sunday evening we DTD. Monday morning OPK was negative. Monday evening OPK was positive. Tuesday morning OPK still positive, Tuesday afternoon I had some cramping, Tuesday evening OPK was negative. For various reasons I won't get into here, we were only able to DTD Sunday evening, which I *think* was about 48 hours before ovulation. Is pregnancy possible, or should I just start thinking about next month?

Yes, definitely possible Sperm can live for several days. Try testing when you are at least 10 days past ovulation using a sensitive test.

My boyfriend and I have been using the CBEFM ttc and I tested positive for my LH surge July 25 at 8:00 am and positive again the following day at 9:00 am. I know you're only supposed to go by the day of the initial surge, but as my boyfriend was out of town on business, we had to wait until the morning (by 9 am) of July 27th to BD. We even used an instead softcup to help pool his swimmers closer to my cervix and kept using the softcups throughout the day every time we had sex. Oddly, ever since yesterday I've started to experience some cramping on both sides of my ovaries (mainly the left), my lower back feels as it does before I begin my period, and my nipples, which have never been sensitive before, are very much so sensitive to the touch now. Seems like it's too early for me to experience pregnancy symptoms, but my body has never reacted this way before. Did we wait too long to BD, or do we have a chance??? We're both afraid to hope, but we're really hoping for a BFP this month!

Thanks Ladies!!!
