That's interesting. I'm an alumni interviewer for them and they told us that there would be a difference, but not by much.

Alum interviewers are not in the inner circle.

And also have no bearing on admittance.

They do actually. I read my admissions file and it was noted that I had a strong recommendation from alum interview. Then again the guy that interviewed me was one of the creators of Excel, so he probably had some weight.

Is anyone else concerned about accepting a school without knowing how they might handle an influx of students? My senior and DH do not appear concerned, but to me, it could be problematic to have such a large class.

Pandemics are problematic. there is much that is beyond anyone's control. Mine will have a large class and such is life. IF you are very concerned, you could suggest he/she take a gap year and enter with the following class as things will settle down more with each passing year.

The schools have to accommodate the freshmen in the dorms, so there will be limits, unless they have cleared out traditional upperclassmen housing.

Huh? They sure as heck have not accommodated lots of students in the dorms this including lots of freshman. Next year will not be back to normal. Some kids may not be accommodated all year on campus just as man were not this year. This situation was, is and continues to be a mess. It will improve but if you think next year is back to the same old same old, I doubt it.

meant to say they have not accommodated lots of students in the dorms this year, including lots of freshman Next year some of this will very likely continue
