Lafayette and Gettysburg?

OP here. DD has her heart set on one local "National Public Honors College" (I think you can guess what that school is ), but we want to send out a few more applications just to see what happens.

I think she's going to add Hamilton to her list as a "reachy" LAC (her current favorite school lists it as an "aspirant peer" institution) as well as Dickinson College to see if she can get merit money.

Gettysburg will stay on the list, because it's close and we're not sure about Lafayette.

Thanks for all the input.

Dickinson ain't reachy with your kid's stats. More like a safety.

My dd looked at the same set of schools, Lafayette, Gettysburg, F&M, Dickinson, Bucknell, Colgate, was dead set on a LAC. We decided to visit Lehigh on a whim because it was 20 minutes away from Lafayette and the tour was the same day. She fell head over heels and has loved it from the start. We toured every one of them, and found they are all essentially the same thing in a different setting. They all have greek life which is a big deal for those who are in it and irrelevant for those who aren’t. The only people who feel left out are those who want the party culture without the greek life. You kind of need a big football school for that. Everyone else can find their people in the other living communities and activities they get involved in at any of these schools.
