Clare Malone let go from 538/ ABC

She was on the podcast today and that was great. They said they are going to try to keep her on in that capacity and details are still up in the air. I love listening to her. I don’t think ABC realized how big of a deal it would be. I hope she lands another great gig soon.

I am reading 538 coverage of the Georgia election and I just realized Clare Malone is going. I guess I am an outlier but I couldn’t stand her on the podcasts. She grated. Laughed and was coquettish in 2016 when it wasn’t appropriate and just went on and on with her comments in 2020. I am so glad she is gone.

I do miss Harry Enten though. Galen Druke is the best.

Don't really know why she was laid off however I found that her attack on Hassan Minaj was kind of was weird. As obviously she knows nothing about political parody. His son is very funny very smart and said never have been on ceremoniously cut from the shows that he was working on. Especially for no more than the word of one single person. The whole thing is BS. I am not a Muslim American however I could see the difference between reality comedy and parody comedy and he excelled in political parody. So as far as I'm concerned pay back sucks. And she did not explain her reasoning nearly well enough.
I will not miss her but I definitely miss him his program and The Daily Show both of which she was perfect for. Did they get rid of him because he's Muslim( I can't help but
wonder) so there's my two cents whether you want them or not.y

Yeah a PP bumped it because she wrote the weird article fact checking Hasan Minhaj’s comedy routines which wasn’t at all fact-checked itself. The Hasan Minhaj situation should probably have its own thread in the Entertainment forum instead.
