Water broke but no contractions

Why is this a question?

OP I hope you went to the hospital. Your baby is coming.

Good luck, OP! This happened to me and I took the induction - all went just fine and baby came within 12 hours.

Yep! I actually went in right away bc of Group B strep. Got pitocin and an epidural and had baby about 13 hrs after water broke. Easy.

(That was my 2nd baby. I had an induction from scratch the first time that ended up in a c section.)

This happened to me at 35 weeks. Pitocin got things going and baby was born within 20 hours. They don’t want it going past 24, or the risk of infection is too big. Baby was healthy, I was fine. Hope you’re in the hospital room now!

Happened to me at 39 weeks with my first DD. Waited at home overnight, showed up at the hospital in the morning (8 hours after water broke), started pitocin, baby was born 16 hours later. No issues.

Happened to me. I only waited about an hour before leaving for the hospital, mostly to get someone to come watch older DD. But when the contractions finally came, they were fast and furious. DS was almost born on the side of the road! When I got to the hospital, they were worried about having enough time to admit me before delivery.
