My friend had a ping pong table in her basement when I was growing up and I was always so jealous of it thinking one day I'm going to get one of those! So now that my kids are tweens, I'm thinking we'll get one for the basement. We had so much fun playing it in her basement just hanging out chatting and playing ping pong. Also, those basketball things are popular too. My SIL has one and when all the kids come over(pre covid) they all play with it.

Options are the standard foosball, ping pong table, air hockey, or a pop-a-shot basketball set up. We're not considering a pool table at all. DS is very into baseball but DH isn't keen on having such equipment in the house, though I'm open to suggestions of something less capable of putting holes in our walls

What have your kids gotten the most usage out of? Anything else you would recommend?

Our air hockey table has a ping pong table that sits on top... we love it and they’ve used both hundreds of times during the pandemic!

We chose ours based on the reviews from this site... they give tons of detail with pros and cons of each, it’s great research.
