Overheard argument

I hope he doesn't put it in the neighbor's trash can!!!

I don’t think you are required by city ordinance to pick up poop on your own property. Just sayin.

OMG. I would rather be single at 80 than still talking to my DH about cleaning up after himself. My life is worth more than that.

He left it. That means he's the one that was there when there was pooping happening. If you take your dog out to shit, you pick it up. If someone yells at you for not picking up your dog's shit, that doesn't make you a victim.

It's not his dog. It's their dog. Which means poop disposal is on her too.

Not if she wasn't there when it shit!

This is hilarious. I would love to see any of you actually defend someone not picking up after their dog if you saw it happen. "Aww, poor guy's wife probably doesn't let him leave dog shit on her pillow, give him a break."

Wrong.

I bet he takes out her trash and cuts the grass on the lawn they co- own

She's a big girl. She can pick up her dog's crap.

What does she do for him? Aside from nag and sit on her a55?

She's 80 for heavens sake! And he caused her to step in dog shit, again! And her husband is not accepting any responsibility for failing to do a thing he's actually required to do by law, not just out of respect and affection!

Men are infantilized until the grave, apparently. Nothing is ever their fault, and if it's clearly their fault, the worse fault is pointing it out.

Ha ha. Totally agree with this

Useless and helpless, all that time.

no where in the op did it say she stepped in dog poop. stop your projecting - sorry you lead such miserable lives. why can't she pick up after the dog?

the poor man did make a mistake - he married a frigid hag.

Haha “stop your projecting,” says a person who then goes on to project about a frigid hag. So rich.

that's not how I read the OP. I read it as he picked it up but didn't dispose of it where the DW wanted. If he did just leave it, that's totally on him and he is completely in the wrong. If he did pick up and just didn't dispose of it "properly", well, he married his DW and he's paying the price for her controlling behavior (and this must be just the tip of the iceberg).
