Mine as well (2.75 years). What a nice and fluffy baby that must be! |

This is bizarre.
OP, what on earth would give you the idea that 38 weeks is pre-term. Was there ANY indication by your OB or the delivery folks when you had your baby that he was considered "early". Did you express concern about it? 38 weeks is never considered early. Most doctors will tell pregnant women to be ready for labor starting at 36-37 weeks because at that point, it really can happen at any time. |
| Like everyone else said, No. 38 weeks is full term. My first was early term at 37 weeks and weighed 6.5lbs. I think preterm is 36 weeks and under. |
| My CNMs would see you with a baby at 36w1d. Before that is late preterm. But that's pretty much term. 38w is totally within normal range. |
| No, my son was born at 38+1. He was 8 lbs! |
Some women are so uneducated about childbirth. Even scarier, so are many OB's. https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/10/131002092633.htm |
| No, I was actually induced at 38 weeks for medical reasons as child was full-term. |

No. I was born at 38 weeks because my mother was given progesterone injections to stop premature labor, my firstborn son was born at 32 weeks because I didn't know I had to do the same thing, and my secondborn daughter stuck it out until 38 weeks thanks to the injections that I then knew I needed... I have told her already that she will likely need progesterone too. |
You resurrected a year old thread to post this? |
| No. I delivered at 36 + 5 days and my doctor considered the baby full term. |
