Why is Kayleigh McEnany so angry?

It's really hard to steel yourself to lie 24/7. Most people can't do it, even if paid to do so. Not only have Trump's press secretaries had to lie like everyone in his Cabinet, but they've had to explain, argue and defend their lies. It's an impossible task, and explains the high turnover at the post, as well as the emotions. They are angry and afraid that if they don't lie convincingly enough, their boss will be angry (and his anger is apparently very unpleasant).

Not a healthy job AT ALL, physically, and psychologically.

I would say that's true with normal people who aren't empty of principles. But none of the press secretaries has anywhere near what you'd consider normal levels of conscience or ethics.

I think she's angry because she hates people who don't believe what she's selling.

But I always called her crazy eyes - I always thought her head was going to explode on live TV sometime.

Dad is a pro baseball player, so he’s always on the road. I’m guessing the baby is left with the grandparents. Which is fine, it takes a village and all that.
But who does that right after giving birth and is basically gone 24/7? NOT NORMAL

It still blows my mind that she’s a new mom and just left her kid back in Florida.

Our baby is the same age. I can’t imagine being so angry and lying everyday for living, while not seeing our kid daily. I think the only way she can do the job is if her kid is kept far away from DC. I’m convinced she has a chemical imbalance.

Her dd is safer by not being exposed to a mom who regularly attends covid superspreader events.

Correct. Family values and all that. Her baby is now 11 months old. That will be a fun attachment!

Exactly. It would hurt her job performance to be all mellow and babied-out...

As for the chemical imbalance, she should watch out for hyperthyroidism. Symptoms include weight loss, eyes popping out, irritability and anxiety. Post-pregnancy thyroid issues are not uncommon. It happened to me after DC1.

I thought it was odd she shared a screenshot of herself FaceTiming her baby.

Her baby!

I mean, you're right that baby is probably safer with whoever baby is left with and not exposed to the death cult at the White House.

But, that is insane. I cannot even imagine having a baby and then up and leaving it for someone else to deal with.

She didn’t bring her baby to DC, but she did bring her husband’s cousin along to work for her.

Kayleigh already had bug eyes pre-baby

but, yes, thyroid problems are a real concern. They found I had thyroid issues WHILE pregnant, but they wouldn't medicate me since I was getting too close to delivery and they speculated it would right itself postpartum. I went crazy hyper at first, THEN went hypo - which was "postpartum thyroiditis." I am now diagnosed hypothyroid/Hashimoto's (an autoimmune disease tied to the thyroid)

My body REALLY hated pregnancy.

If you lie with conviction many people buy the lie more easily.

It's really as simple as, a hit dog will holler.

Yep, I am going with the hit dog will holler rationale here as this aggressive and angry comportment is common in this admin, especially Pompeo. Or my teens when they get caught in something.

It seems like it was just yesterday when Trumpsters on this board were defending Kayleigh and claiming the rest of us were “jealous” of her because she was so smart, so beautiful, so accomplished, blah blah. Oh yes, SO jealous...

They seem to have too much self awareness to hire someone like her. “In Sod We Trust”? “Lawn and Order”? Having a high res pic on Twitter of their loading doc? They seem way too smart to hire the likes of her.

I do think it’s bizarre to just abandon your baby in another state when neither parent is available to at least check in physically. This isn’t a pair of deployed parents who have no choice, or someone who’s incarcerated, or anything like that. To work for the side that says that women should care for children and then just abandon your own - and this is like late 19th century upper class parents who just decided to take a grand tour level abandonment - is horrifying.
