Does anyone love their flatware set?

We've been using this Mikasa French Countryside flatware for almost 15 years and it is still in perfect shape and I still love it, especially its weight.

Love this classic pattern. Easy to find and holds up well.

We have a sterling silver one, Blossom Time. It was a wedding gift and I really love it!

This is mine, Boda Nova "Gourmet": https://pin.it/7fWU2iY – beautiful and comfortable in the hand, and sadly now impossible to find at any kind of reasonable price.

On quantity, though, I would say definitely get more than a 12 place settings, or if you can buy open stock get more of the pieces you use most. Even with a family of just two, I sometimes run out of clean knives and soup/cereal spoons before the day is over, whereas I almost never use the dessert forks and the forks and teaspoons aren't in such high demand.

I also have Boda Nova "Gourmet" (Japan) and would love to buy pieces if interested in selling!

I still love it, mostly because of the comfortable thick handles but I also think the colors are adorable and sort of vintage looking. I have no idea what other people think of it.

I used to have that and loved it! It's probably so out it's in again!

Happy to find another "Gourmet" lover! But I'd never part with mine.

We've had Oneida Juilliard for decades- yes I'm old. I love it and many others bought it. Over the years people were looking at some extra pieces and they didn't feel the same-weight, balance, etc. Another product that moved to China and yes it is now different and lower quality. Gone forever.

If you can get used service for 12 plus buy it rather than new. Liberty is in what used to be in an Oneida facility https://www.libertytabletop.com/product-category/flatware/

All Clad has many products made in PA. DD said the PA ones are better than the China all clad- partner is quite the cook and noticed the difference.
Liberty has a sale and free shipping over $99.

The liberty sets look nice. I have 18/10 stainless Mikassa from Costco and they've held up beautifully for several years now. Still look new. You want to get a set that's 18/10.
