| They are still counting them. My primary ballot didn’t get counted until after e day but I sent the general in early and I got the notice that it was counted several days ago. So I think they go in order of receipt. If it says received, and you filled it out right, it will get counted. |
Yeah because the lead is insurmountable from the remaining, uncounted ballots. Some of the news orgs will call it before the lead is insurmountable if they think they know enough about the outstanding ballots based on where they were cast and party registration. |
But none of those results or “calls” are official of course. I think the official date is like early December. |
PP, why does it matter *when* your vote gets counted? It will be included in the final, official count. |
| I just don't get why it's taking Maryland so long... these other states are busting through hundreds of thousands of ballots, and we moved from 66% to 70% counted over like three days?? I dropped my ballot Oct 11 and it's still not processed - though I did the downloaded one, which I later heard was a bad move because those have to be manually transferred to by two people or something like that. Not doing that again! |
Statement of Montgomery County Board of Elections Regarding the Reporting of Election Results Montgomery County MD Election Day votes will be reported over the next few days and results will continue to increase over that time period. This is due to an unanticipated issue related to precinct-level reporting for vote centers. The decision by the State Board of Elections to report results by precinct has resulted in a significant delay in the upload process. There is a lag time as results are uploaded individually from memory devices used with each scanner and the process is significantly slower than in previous years because of the required precinct based reporting implemented for this Presidential Election. The State Board of Elections issued a media statement on this matter: https://results.elections.maryland.gov/press_room/Election_Night_Announcement.pdf The Vote by Mail and provisional counts will occur as scheduled and those results will increase the vote total over the next several weeks as ballots are counted. The Montgomery County Board of Elections will conduct the canvass of Vote by Mail ballots as planned, starting on Thursday, November 5, 2020 beginning at 1:30 P.M. Please visit the Board of Elections at www.777vote.org for the Canvass Schedule. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/Elections/2020GeneralElection/md-boe-statement.html |
