Boots as comfortable as uggs but classier looking?

51-year-old and I still wear them. Just don't wear them in sugar baby pink or cotton candy metallic.

Honey, Uggs have been around since the 1970s--they are a classic now.

I am a west coast transplant and have been wearing Uggs all my life. I grew up on the beach on California watching my boyfriends and older siblings surf. Everyone wore uggs (who could afford them), especially the surfers when they got out of the water. I remember moving into this area in the late 1990's and wearing my Uggs and everyone was appalled. I found it curious and funny that east coasters think they are the arbiters of fashion and oh so cool. I remember thinking, if the situation was reversed and they moved to the California coast they would definitely be given some of their own medicine and looked at like they are so.uncool. LOL. I own many Uggs now, several classic styles and several of the more update styles. To each their own. FWIW - I will wear my Uggs to my deathbed and you can judge me all you want. I know that Im cool. LOL

People in California look stupid wearing shorts with Uggs. If it's cool enough outside for Uggs, don't wear shorts. LoL.

Sperry's really aren't that warm. At all.

I just bought my first pair to replace decrepit UGGs, and they are amazing. Highly recommend!! And waterproof.

I was going to suggest the knee high uggs. I have some that look like normal boots but they are not waterproof. I glanced at Zappos and the tall ugg boots are all fabulously ugly right now. Sorel or Canadienne is where I'll be looking next!

You don’t really get coastal California weather. Shorts and uggs, sweatpants and flip flops ... it’s always cold then warm then cold.

I bought these last year, and they are pretty comfortable.

I have several pairs of Sorel boots that are comfy, but slightly classier than Uggs.

The first time I saw Uggs was in Australia almost 20 years ago. The Aussies were wearing them with shorts in Alice Springs, where it could be 70*F during the day and 30*F at night. I guess the shorts and Uggs made sense!

I have Aquatalia boots that are lined with thinsulate, so they are both warm and waterproof. They keep my feet very warm and are "dressier" than uggs. I find them to be comfortable and have walked in them for several hours.

Not the same as Uggs but my La Canadienne boots are good for slush puddles and the office.
