Hey, I am all for school reopening, but I am surprised some winter sports are starting even before high school kids are allowed to start school. wrestling and basketball???? that is crazy.

There is no way high school sports are going to happen when the schools are not open for classes. All those clinging to the fantasy of sports with no school need to get a clue.

Fairfax County High Schools are set to have basketball tryouts next Monday. Wondering if they will cancel at the last minute???

They are still saying basketball tryouts are Monday for a lot of FCPS high schools. Practices can start this week too.

My doctor neighbor told me 50% of her colleagues have been infected by covid. this round is much stronger than March/April. Fairfax County has 567 cases today - 10 times more than just a few months ago. I think basketball and other indoor sports should be postponed to spring. The vaccine is on the way. I don't understand why people can't wait for another two or three months.

Gymnastics tryouts shouldn’t be until next week. But they can hold conditioning sessions.

Ask your Dr. friend how many of the 50% will get the vaccine? Genuinely curious if they move back to the line, so to speak, because their body should have theoretically developed or will develop antibodies.
