Why is UMich so overrated?

This nutter is spreading misinformation about a random school. Me thinks her kid didn’t get in and she’s now on a mission.

or trying to reduce applications to help her kids odds - either way kind of strange

Thanks for confirming the troll. It was starting to get pretty obvious! Has the troll posted on other schools or topics or does he have a singular obsession with Michigan?

...which makes me wonder why anyone would do something like this?? I mean, seriously, do some get kick out of this?

That’s a wild exaggeration. School year is Sept-April, it’s pretty for like a month when the leaves are changing in Sept/Oct — then it’s grey, cold, snow, awful roads, creepy Michigander townies, and Detroit. Everyone who graduates from Michigan b-lines to the airport after commencement.

I don't know about the lower acceptance rate or the SAT average, but UM has a 45% yield and UMD has a 30% yield.

Anyway, I'd be thrilled if my kid attended either one. "Goes without saying" that I consider you . . .

Didn’t know Jeff ever posted but what an awesome display from the wizard. After all the insanity here (and I’ve been part of it for sure, because it’s petty entertainment to stoke fires - see INSANE Emory engineering thread) it’s funny to imagine him seeing the Michigan nonsense and finally say “enough!”

You can’t be serious. UMich has one of the top law schools in the country. UMD does not.

OP is talking about undergrads.

OP brought up law schools and said UMD has a better law school, which is incorrect.

Sure it does. College Park doesn’t have one, but UMD most definitely does. Carey School of Law at UMD Baltimore.

No one in Maryland has ever heard of Michigan law.

It's actually a relief that so many of these crazy posts are just one person...

Apropos of nothing, what does it take to get an ISP banned from DCUM?
