Whole Foods versus Balducci's for Thanksgiving?

We had some good meals delivered from Relish Catering. They deliver and it’s much more reasonably priced than Ridgewells.

These two aren’t even remotely in the same league. Balduccis all the way.

Fresh Market is another good option.

+1 Whole Foods looks good but the taste leaves a lot to be desired.

Just wanted to say this thread is super helpful to give it a bump. Thanks!

Balduccis is amazing - expensive too but worth it for a treat. Whole Foods is terrible now - tastes bland and not worth the money imo.

This might depend on where you live, but the Balducci's in Bethesda completely had a meltdown two years ago. The food is delicious but I would never order Thanksgiving from them again. Hours long waits, etc. You can probably find the chains of people complaining on social media. I did learn last year that if you want the traditional sides from Balducci's (which are delicious), you can just go into the store and order it at the deli counter. I guess that might leave a litle up in the air bc you aren't ordering in advance, but I would never order a dinner from them after the mess last time . Or, maybe pick it up the day before in case the logistics go badly again, you can try to recoup with somewhere else as a last resort.

Oh wow, I just went to Neighborhood Provisions's website -- we got Thxgiving meals from them the past few years -- and they are closed! So sad. Very curious about other delivery/catering options. Occasions is good but a bit more formal than I like. Nhood Provisions had more casual homestyle food like pimento mac n cheese etc. Any ideas?
