having trouble with docs not calling back

I did my OB care at georgetown and always received a call back when I called the nurse's line. Always -- within 2-3 hours. I never called the after hours line, though. My experience with the peds practice is that the after hours line will sometimes not get you a call back. We waited 6 hours after the first call, then called again and said "WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED A CALL BACK." The on-call ped called us right back after that.

THis is the time you need to be pushy. Tell the Nurse/operator that you need the doctor on call to call you back IMMEDIATELY.
