Fighting the thinking part of the brain is not productive. Separate yourself from the thought. Don't pursue it. Let it go by like a cloud in the sky. Observe it from a distance. That is meditation. |
I use a mental image for thoughts - like they are words on a blackboard that I erase or weeds in a garden. |
No one except for maybe some monks are able to completely free their mind of thought. Meditating is the process of trying to get there. Keep at it and you’ll see improvement over time. |
