My child lost their joy from being in this club too long (you can prob guess which club has a record of being "joyless"). FCGB provides SOO much more quality coaching without the big club nonsense. My child's team is doing well so far, buf I personally don't care about winning nor about ECNL (I don't care to drive to NJ, there is good competition in the DMV). Let your child decide!, ,!.

Would you mind sharing the age group. My DD is currently a U13 travel player but might consider FCGB. Thanks.

You should definitely check it out U13 would be a great age to join and develop skills. If you feel that there isn't enough exposure for college when she gets older, she will have developed the skills to join an ECNL team in the future. For those who say that it's too late to join later, it probably means that your daughter will probably would have struggled to compete for top spots anyway. The top teams are always open to top talent and FCGB would develop that.

Ummm. Barca is not FCGB.

They are both European academy style clubs though.

Are they playing games now? If so do they have year round try outs?

Yes. 06 team is pretty full but other teams have spots. They made cuts at the end of last year but couldn't recruit due to Corona.

Yes they are playing games.

+1. And yes, teams are alway looking to add good players especially smaller clubs like FCGB. I would expect teams to prorate the fees based upon when you join.
