Did you go to well visit this year if you don't need vaccine?

We skipped all of our kids this year. 4 were scheduled in mid April and we missed those obviously. None need vaccinations. We have one that we should have done earlier this month we also skipped. No concerns so I’ll pass this year.

Nope.

Ours was in early April and we postponed it for a few months and then went. At that point we knew more, we had masks, etc., and it wasn't a big deal. I'd just go because your insurance may only cover a visit once a year and if you end up going like 8 or 9 months late it'll throw you off for the next year.

Two of my kids had to go because they go to private school that requires the annual physical. The visits were in-person, and we were in an out. I think the entire visit, including getting a flu shot, took 45 minutes. Usually, we wait 20-30 minutes each step of the way (in waiting room, in exam room waiting for doctor, waiting for nurse to return with shot, etc.).

We did our 8 year old's well visit a couple of weeks ago. There were many precautions taken in the office and we felt safe. We didn't have any concerns to discuss but the doctor did flag something and we're going back in six months to take another look. So I'm glad we went.

Yes. Our office had reasonable COVID protocols in place.

Dentist I am more leery of.

Yes, we went in August. They had precautions in place. It seemed worth the risk (we hadn't been the doctor for anything at all since the check up last year), and also we needed school forms.

Yes we did one a few weeks ago. I trust our pediatrician and felt their precautions made sense.

Yes, because we need sports forms completed.

Yes. Our private school requires it and I am so grateful they do. Ped caught a skin infection on my kid’s foot I thought was a wart.

Honest question. What does a virtual visit entail for a young kid if there isn't a problem and just a well check?

I'm probably going to wait. Kids don't have their annual visit until January and unless they need specific shots, I don't think it's a big deal to hold off.

I recommend it. Ped caught a significant issue for my child, not anything where waiting a month or two would matter but it’s something we are better off addressing sooner rather than later.
