WAYS Lacrosse - what’s the deal?

Okay maybe, but what if the alternative is to play Bethesda Select B with parent coaches? If those were my basic two choices, WAYS might seem like the better option.

Advice to anyone whose kid play for Haight.....just don't. Ask anyone who has played for him.

Does this include at GC or do you mean at the club level?

Can't speak for GC, and they are still a pretty solid club. But can say, he doesn't cut anyone that trys out. At least I've never heard of anyone cutting. To the point where girls who have literally never played a season of rec lax make the team. It's a shame...a few years back the 24s had a nice team, but the club has really fallen off. I know a lot of the younger girls will play a season or two and then look elsewhere.

Interesting.... seems like all the clubs do that with their B teams for sure....they can’t say no to the $$$$

Except that Rebels doesn't have any B teams. Some years don't even have teams.

They don't take girls that have never played rec and have made cuts.

People play a season or two and move elsewhere are typically the club hoppers. I know people on their 3rd team in 4 years before finishing 7th grade (not just on Rebels). It happens everywhere.

Rebels is also cheaper than both MC Elite and Stars.

Actually he has taken girls who have never played. And most girls that leave are looking for a better club. When we left, the difference was incredible. Amazing what actual communication from the top does. Too bad too...team we were on had some great kids - not one girl is still with Rebels so I definitely wouldn't put that on club hoppers...

o

Both. He'll suck you in at the club level with promises of playing at GC. (And if you choose another club yet end up at GC, it will be forever held against you.)
He's in it for himself and the $, not for the girls. Doesn't help with recruiting at all, but is quick to take the credit. Just not a good person, or role model for young women.

Then why are there multiple starters on varsity that began at Rebels and then left for another club (M&D)?

He doesn't care who you play for. Sounds like someone is just bitter.
