Don't try to pretend the tea party is libertarianism. It is not. |
It may turn off those who disagree, but it turns on those who agree with that assessment of the tea party. Unfortunately, much of modern politics consists of stoking the fires of your followers, rather than communicating with opponents; check out Palin's tea party speech -- "How is the hopey changey stuff workin' out for ya?" seems pretty condescending to me (although I would not put up a big fight if you said it's more snarky than condescending.) |
Take a listen - with friends like this liberals don't need enemies. Utterly amazing. If this is the answer to Rush Limbaugh, it's no wonder these shows can't stay on the air. |
I didn't have time to listen to the entire thing, but I really didn't find anything wrong with what I heard. Also, based on the career path of another comedian who was an Air America host, Garafalo could well be in the Senate before long. |
"Amazing"? A bit over-long and boring, but compared to the rants of Limbaugh and Beck, I don't see the problem. Pick some of Olbermann's diatribes if you need an example of leftish over-the-toppedness -- I don't think he quite matches the Foxies, but he's close. |
