^^ You're the exception, not the norm. |
Absofrickinglutely. Trick or treating and giving out treats. With a bonfire in our driveway. |
Nope. We won’t be passing out candy either. My grandmother lives with us and is in frail healthy. If I won’t send my kids to school, I’m not going to send them door to door. |
Yes. If there was ever a holiday made for a pandemic, this is it.

Same |
np we are not at high risk but also not planning to risk it this year |
This. We are.going to decorate and leave candy out on the honor system, but not answering the door. |
We will probably try to organize something in our neighborhood where people leave candy in a bowl rather than handing it directly. They could put the bowl at the end of the driveway and sit in chairs by the front door and wave when people come by if they want, etc.
We will probably only go with our family - not friends this year. And, we may make some desserts for my kids to eat the night of Halloween and quarantine the door to door candy for a day ![]() I am up for outdoors activities where you can social distance. |
Yes. I hope that my neighbors have enough sense to stay 6 feet away from the candy, but it's already pretty common to see unattended candy bowls, so I expect we'll all figure it out. I always leave an unattended candy bowl since we're actually trick or treating during that normal period of time. |
Yes. I've been in conversations with other parents in the neighborhood and we are all planning to put a few pieces of candy in a goody bag type situation, put a table at the end of our driveways, and spread out the bags so no one has to rifle through a bowl to find what they want or touch other bags to get theirs. Some people plan to sit in their driveway and wave to the kids, others will just put out the table and stay inside, only coming out to restock.
Halloween is the perfect holiday for social distancing. You're outside. At least in our neighborhood with wide streets, you don't have to come within six feet of anyone. Kids can wear their costume with masks. The kids have missed out on enough. This is an outdoor activity so let the kids be kids! |
Yes. This is what we are doing. We don’t get that many trick or treaters (and my kids are grown) but we will be sitting in our driveway. This seems pretty low risk to me for both the kids and ourselves. |
No. Unless our neighborhood organizes contactless TOT where, for instance, people put bowls of candy out front and then sit far away from the bowls. |
I would much rather have my kids ToTing outside than going to an indoor Halloween party. |
Exactly. And it's pretty easy to leave treats outside. |
Nope. |
