I think Vivian and Amelia are easier for Americans to spell. People will constantly misspell and mispronounce either name.

If you like Em as a nickname what about Emma or Emily?

Our daughter born in May is Emilia Sophie (nn Emmy) and I think the names go really well together. Great taste, OP!

We have friends who named their (now teen) daughters Sophie and Emilia. They call her Mimi. Possibly because they’re so many Emmys from Emily. Who knows? It’s a great NN- for this child, at least.

Both are nice names so you can’t really go wrong. However I think in the US the more common spellings are Vivian and Amelia, so just be aware.
