There used to be the most perfect restaurant at the Simon Pearce as well...

It is like people who want to spit a 5 hour road trip over two days.

Op here. I am looking for a place to meet my parents. They live in NY. We live in VA.

We also don’t like long day trips. We would rather make it a weekend trip.

If you don’t want a hotel, look on Airbnb in Chadds Ford, West Chester, or Kennett square in PA or north Wilmington, Greenville or Hockessin in DE.

The museum in Chadds Ford is called the Brandywine River Museum and the artists’ last name is Wyeth (NC, Andrew, and Jamie, grandfather, father and son).

Have fun, it’s a lovely area.

Is it better than the Bethesda Terrain store?

OP, I am in your shoes as well and agree it's hard to find a good rental in that area! And I work for a company headquartered in Wilmington so I get it.
Delaware has been problematic with its constant on/off the NY quarantine list.

I live near there and did a quick Airbnb and VRBO search. There isn’t anything- I’d just go to a hotel. Plenty of decent hotels and inns in Kennett Square and West Chester. Both towns are cute and full of great restaurants.

I looked at the pictures online. The Glen Mills PA location looks much larger and more extensive.

OP here. I have been looking for the past week and have come up with nothing. We do not want to stay in a hotel. I did find many promising homes in the Poconos. Maybe we will meet there intead.

The Inn at Montchanin Village & Spa
I stayed here years ago. So much fun. They had a few small cottages to rent, or hotel rooms. Also restaurant and spa on site. near everything in brandywine.

Try the Botanical Art House in Chadd’s Ford (AirBnB). There are multiple rooms listed separately, but you could try to get the whole house. It’s very comfortable and convenient to everything.
