Anyone Stop Breastfeeding Because of Biting?

OP here. Thanks. I’m going to stop breastfeeding. Any tips on how to wean and dry up my supply?

Drop one feeding at a time. One every few days. If you stop all at once, you can get clogged ducts and infections.

I switched to pumping for this exact reason. I had done a combo of the two, but once the biting began, it was pumped milk from then on.

My first born didn’t learn. Luckily his teeth came in relatively late. But I endured it for month or two and stopped nursing thereafter. My second born didn’t bite. Go figure.

Yeah, don’t go cold turkey. I had a friend who went cold turkey when her kid bit her and she ended up with mastitis.

If you have some Sudafed around (the real kind that you have to buy at the pharmacy counter) that is supposed to be bad for supply, so maybe take a dose of that every day.
