clealry few of those responding have played ccl games where they have multiple games in those areas.
the best we had was a friday in fredericksburg, saturday in williamsburg and sunday Va beach no school on that monday woe stayed another day |
When the drive there is no longer than the match, it's not worth it in youth soccer. |
Drive IS longer than the match. |
St Marys girls teams are really good. They are the only MD team my kid has played in years of travel soccer that I think is worth the drive for good competition. |
Then stop paying travel fees. Wasting your money. |
No kidding lol |
I do it for the kids, just like my parents did for the 3 of us. We actually had more travel than my U16&U13 do now...and we had 1 more kid and my dad coached. It doesn’t mean I have to pretend liking sitting in traffic up and down the I95 corridor and BW parkway. So, yeah, I drive for the kids but I sure love the home games. I also think it’s ludicrous to drive so far for shitty competition when there is so much talent locally...but everyone is in a pissing match over leagues. |
Some of us would rather travel for actual vacations than soccer games. |
Cool |
| Skyline, especially in the fall. |
Are you seriously trying to sell the CCL travel requirements as a good thing and not a travesty and symbol of everything wrong with youth soccer in the US??? ROFL
|
| What have you heard regarding clubs leaving CCL for other leagues or being kicked out? Arlington, Alexandria, SOCA, Beach FC, LMVSC, McLean what is going to happen to the league in this area? Will it still be around? List your thoughts here... |
| I think all Maryland teams and Stoddert stay in. Arlington to ECNL/ECNL-R. Beach FC not sure. Skyline is already in GA (girls). Richmond is safe. The remaining NOVA teams are probably all safe except LMVSC. |
| LMVSC is joining the Confederate League |
| I don’t think CCL can afford to kick any clubs out |
