Yeah. Coming from a Blair Magnet/TJ equivalent would be on par with a top private today. A kid with nearly perfect grades and SAT scores should do well with good execution and extracurriculars.

Agree with Michigan and Emory and would add UT-Austin, Rice, Northwestern, and Cornell.

+1,000. Nor match. "Reach for (nearly) Everyone" category for sure. Doesn't mean OPs kid won't get in, just means those schools have more top stats applicants than they can accept.
