Duck versus Emerald Isle

| I have been to both Duck and Emerald Isle and I like Emerald Isle more but I can't put my finger on exactly why. There is less to do in Emerald Isle (although there is not a whole lot to do in Duck either) but that did not matter to us since we are in the middle of a pandemic and we were mostly just interested in having a nice house on the beach. Emerald Isle just felt more low-key, relaxed, and more charming/authentic because of the mix of houses. It felt like a chill beach town while Duck/Corolla felt a little off to me - maybe it was all the poorly built McMansions everywhere. |
