Outdoor games on the quad
Campus tours (for kids who never visited and couldn’t go to admitted students day)
Live music with limited capacity

There are a lot of online activities

In person activities are harder to find, but they are trying with outdoor exercises, the gym is open and so are outdoor/tented study spots,

I think they could do more but it's hard and agree the kids are just going to have to deal with the limited offerings in lieu of staying home.

I hope they are hosting outside parties with masks. If protests are okay, then this should be just as okay.

It makes me crazy on what the media has made okay and what is not okay.

The media hasn’t decided — it is what the public health people say happened based on the data.

Protests weren’t superspreader events. No significant clusters from going to a beach or even that Missouri pool/bar scene from Memorial Day we saw 1000 times either.

The problem remains indoor dining, bars and parties, weddings (some outside), funerals and more generally people who can’t put on a damn mask. Events where stand or sit around in small groups talking and laughing or singing.

Ha ha are you blind. I stayed late. My daughters apt next to Amherst college which is super strict. At 8 pm tons of kids out walking to town no masks in groups. My daughters building people actually showed up infants, old people you name it no masks. It is allowed to eat in a restaurant, there were groups of kids in there eating. And I checked into hotel and nobody asked me anything Covid related.

I even told waitress we just drove in from DC area was not hiding.

Mine is. She has lived with me since March, and has not gone out with friends ONCE in that time. (She has stayed connected to them via Zoom & social media). And she chose to continue her studies online this Fall, in part because she did not trust all kids to behave responsibly.
