I typically go to the Wheaton location and I like it better than the nearby Lotte and Korean Korner, although Korean Korner has better tasting kimchi.

H Mart is AWESOME. It is my favorite store in NoVA. In addition to the very fresh, cheap produce, you should buy some of the korean marinated beef -- Bulgogi or Kalbi. They usually sell it ready to cook, or you can buy the meat and a jar of the sauce and marinate it yourself. You can stir fry it or broil it and serve it over rice. Soooo Yummi!

We do most of our vegetable and fish shopping at H-Mart (Fairfax). The variety of greens is amazing and "exotic" produce is cheap (shallots, lemongrass, Asian varieties of eggplant and squash), as is the more mainstream produce. We can actually afford to get avocado, papaya, mango and clementines there. Their fish department has an excellent variety, including sushi grade salmon and tuna. I am careful about the jarred sauces, as we steer clear of MSG and hte like, but there is still plenty to choose from.

The minced garlic in a glass jar from H-Mart (Super H) is a staple in our house. It's sold in the produce section, refrigerated. I used it when I cook anything Asian, Italian and use in rubs. It is so handy and keeps for at least 3 months!

Fish sauce, I marinate chicken and pork chops in this instead of using salt and my husband who is a total meat and potatoes man hasn't complained about the taste.

We buy chicken feet there for Halloween. The kids love it!
