While not chill on the grand scheme of things, this is the best answer for a neighborhood of people with average household incomes over 200K/year. Kids kinda do whatever they want around there and the parents seem to be drinking beers on their porches. But this is only in comparison to the rest of WOTP/rich Nova/MoCo neighborhoods. If you want actually chill, nothing exists inside the beltway. |
| Annapolis parents are chill AF. |
| We’re all pretty chill here in my EOTP neighborhood. |
Left SF three years ago to be closer to husband’s family. I don’t love DC but I do not miss SF at all. |
+1 I still live in DC but we’d decamp for Richmond tomorrow if my husband’s job moved to full time WFH (well, that or somewhere totally different, like New Orleans or Pittsburgh). Richmond has the best vibe right now. |
As a former San Franciscan, I would say that all the parents are now in Oakland or Southern California. I have one Daly City holdout. |

Lots of cool parents in Arlington. You just have to find them! |
Yes! And 20901. |
| Look for places with nice homes and mediocre schools and low crime. Boom. |

| There's a few of us in Arlington. We call ourselves the resistance. We meet at dusk to throw axes, drink beer, and laugh at people on DCUM. Also, don't move to Arlington. These parents suck. |
